Kiri is a small, independent product. No investors. No sales team. Just a laptop, a lot of coffee, and a single-minded focus on getting the paperwork right for landlords and tenants who live and rent in Malta.
Why Kiri exists
Every Malta landlord I met was running their rentals out of a mess — a WhatsApp thread for maintenance, a paper ledger for rent, a spreadsheet for tax, a PDF on a phone for the lease. Generic property tools from the US or the UK didn't understand the TA22, had no idea what an MTA licence was, and couldn't draft a formal notice under Chapter 604.
Tenants had it worse. No receipt for the deposit. No record of what the meter read on move-in. No way to prove they'd been a good tenant to the next landlord.
Kiri started as a weekend project to fix my own small problem and turned into the product a Malta landlord would actually pay for. Every feature exists because something was broken — not because a product manager wrote a roadmap.
